Marketing Manager

 

Our client, a leading and ambitious Credit Union in South Dublin with more 58,000 members and €300 million in assets, is hiring a Marketing Manager to implement the marketing and communications plan and be an ambassador for the Credit Union in the community.

 

This role will contribute to the growth of the business by driving growth in membership, lending, and other products.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Overall

  • Assist the CEO with the design of a comprehensive marketing and business development strategy and take the lead for its implementation

  • Liaise with key stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of growth objectives and analyse the performance of campaigns

 

Digital Marketing

·        Enhance the digital strategy of the Credit Union by:

  • Generating, editing, publishing, and sharing daily targeted content that builds meaningful connections and encourages credit union members to take action, and which ultimately drive revenue growth

  • Continuously improving by capturing and analysing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights, and best practices, and acting on the information

  • Developing and delivering highly targeted Email Campaigns

  • Website management and marketing

  • Work with digital marketing partners to enhance SEO Marketing and advertising campaigns

  • Analysing the CRM and proposing creative digital marketing initiatives to drive revenue, member awareness and usage of services and member growth

·        Manage the Credit Union’s social media accounts to drive engagement

 

Marketing

  • Work, internally and externally, with partners to implement other marketing activities, including brand awareness, print and local media advertising, promotional events, merchandise etc

  • Ensure all marketing activities are compliant with existing regulation

  • Formulating and planning campaigns to raise awareness of products/services

  • Carry out research into the competitive landscape to identify best-in-class marketing practices, suggesting campaigns and content marketing initiatives based on findings

 

Events

  • Assist the Credit Union with marketing and communicating important Credit Union events such as the Annual General Meeting, new product launches etc

 

Community

  • Manage Credit Unions youth and community engagement initiatives including the School Saving Scheme, School Quiz, Going Green Grant, and Higher Education Scholarship

  • Assist the Community Council and manage the administration of the sponsorship process from screening applications, preparing presentations, and following up with successful applicants to ensure maximum visibility for the Credit Union brand

  • Promote and support our Community Council across our catchment areas, locate and support local reps and new volunteers and help develop useful projects

  • Organise lively and enjoyable community events that will raise the profile of the Credit Union in a way that reinforces our message of passion for positive change.

 

Business Development

  • Work with the Lending Manager to promote the Credit Union in the community, specifically mortgage and business loans

  • Assist with the development of the Credit Union’s business schemes – CU@Work and CU SmartPay

  • Work with ancillary partners such as Peopl, Zurich and Energy Team to promote additional revenue streams for the Credit Union

 

Other

  • Report monthly to the Board of Directors to update them on your activities

  • Assist with the training of operational staff to educate them on new products and services along with the implementation of campaigns

 

Team

 

The Marketing Manager role is a hands-on role working with the Marketing Intern.

 

Reporting

 

The Marketing Manager reports to the CEO.

 

Person Requirements

 

The ideal candidate will have:

 

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in marketing/digital marketing and communications

  • 4-5 years’ or more marketing experience across several of the responsibilities listed above for this role

  • Experience in the financial services sector or Credit Union sector would be a distinct advantage, but other sectoral experience will be carefully considered.

 

In addition, the ideal candidate will have:

 

  • Experience working across a broad range of engagement disciplines, including events, public meetings, communications, consultation and reputation management

  • Strong IT skills

  • Knowledge and experience of current marketing technologies and trends

 

At a personal and interpersonal level, the ideal candidate will have an:

 

  • Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and written, across various audiences

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills

  • Ability to manage own workload, time and diary in order to meet deadlines / achieve outcomes

  • Ability to work co-operatively and effectively as part of a team

  • Be a self-starter

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Ability to remain calm and efficient under pressure

  • Excellent conceptualising skills

  • Ability to identify opportunity for innovation and solve problems

In addition:

 

  • A full clean driving licence is required as the role involves engagement with the credit unions branch office, the Community Councils, community engagements and events

Salary & Benefits

The credit union will offer pay and benefits including salary, pension and other benefits commensurate with the role and the market. Salary is negotiable based on qualifications and relevant experience.

 

Contract Duration and Working Hours

The role is permanent and full-time, 37 hours per week. The role will involve occasional Saturday and evening work to meet role requirements.

 

Work Location

The role requires working within the geographical area of Capital Credit Union. The main office is at Dundrum, where the role is based, and there are currently branches in Ballinteer, Drimnagh, Knocklyon, Sandymount, Sundrive, St Luke’s Gate and Leopardstown.  

 

After a successful bedding-in period, there may be scope for limited hybrid working. The Marketing Manager may also work from some of the branch locations from time to time where there is suitable space to do so.
